Marion Bumgardaner of Perkins died Thursday, Oct. 24, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 2, 1922 near Painton, son of Thomas Henry Bumgardaner and Mable Annie Creed Bumgardaner.
He worked at Cooney Equipment Co. in Sikeston until his retirement in June of 1990.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church at Perkins, and the Lakeview Bell City Mason Lodge, #489.
He married Pauline Kennedy on Oct. 25, 1941. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Wayne Bumgardaner, Perkins; a daughter, Gail Crow, Bernie; a brother, Henry Bumgardaner of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Alfrieda Dirnberger, Perkins, Alberta Thurston, Scotts, Mich., and Marcia Roberts, Oran; and four grandchildren.
Service will be held at 3 p.m. today at Missionary Baptist Church in Perkins, with the Rev. Robert Francis officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ray Meek. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
A Masonic service was held at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee Saturday.
