CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Funeral for Marion Douglas Brown of Charleston will be held at 1 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home. The Rev. Calvin Brown will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service.
Brown, 69, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born May 5, 1932, in Paris, Tenn., son of Talmadge and Lula Mae Parker Brown. He and Suetta Brown were married Sept. 23, 1976.
Brown lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He attended the Church of the Nazarene.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; three stepsons, Emmett Groves of Bertrand, Mo., Michael and Anthony Groves of Charleston; a sister, Irene Jackson of Plano, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
