MARBLE HILL -- Marion W. Angel, 87, of Marble Hill died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at his home.
Angel was born July 19, 1911, at Mayfield, son of Charles and Marada Susan Cook Angel. He and Loretta L. Barks were married Feb. 18, 1939.
Angel was a retired sawmill and timber worker and was a member of the Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Charles, John, Tom and Tim Angel, all of Marble Hill; two daughters, Faye Giddens and Phyllis James, both of Marble Hill; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Angel was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and a great-grandson.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with the Revs. Jimmie Fulbright and Donald R. Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Hurricane Fork Church Cemetery.
