Marilynn McNeely

Marilynn S. McNeely, 62, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 10, 1946, in Cherry Point, N.C., to Robert and Sue Dodson VanBeck. She and Robert L. McNeely were married June 10, 1990, at Murfreesboro, Tenn. She was a member of Church of God.

Survivors include her husband, Robert L. McNeely of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Walter Lewis of St. Louis and Buck McNeely of Jackson; three daughters, April Lewis of Nashville, Tenn., Esta Manso of Orlando, Fla., and Lori McCormick of Marble Hill, Mo.; her parents, Robert and Sue VanBeck of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Marvin VanBeck of Angier, N.C., and Malcom VanBeck of Palmetto, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael VanBeck.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
