Marilyn King, 59, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at her home.
She was born Aug. 21, 1964, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Elnora King.
Marilyn was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
She worked as a certified nurse assistant for Ratliff Nursing Center for 17 years.
She loved her grandchildren and helping others. She was a wonderful person. She also loved doing puzzles.
Survivors include sons, Antoine (Jamie) King, De Shawn Cayce, Dontay King and Brian Cayce, all of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, William Verdell King of Chicago and Maurice Lamont King of Cape Girardeau; five sisters, Shirley Jean Edwards of Los Angeles, Dearber Lorraine King, Patricia Ann Patterson and Lisa Marie (Walter) Totton, all of Cape Girardeau, and Lelia Tonette King of Georgia; a bonus sister, Maryann Duke of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her mother, Elnora King, and sister, Janice K. King.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The family will have a private graveside service with Elder Athisha King officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
