PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Marie A. Young, 86, of Perryville died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at Independence Care Center of Perry County. She was born March 30, 1922, in Perryville, daughter of Harry J. and Hilda Holermann Tackaberry. She and James K. Young were married Sept. 2, 1942. He died June 14, 2005...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Marie A. Young, 86, of Perryville died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born March 30, 1922, in Perryville, daughter of Harry J. and Hilda Holermann Tackaberry. She and James K. Young were married Sept. 2, 1942. He died June 14, 2005.

Young was a retired funeral director from Young and Sons Funeral Home. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Berean Bible Study.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Denise "Dee Dee" Young of LaJolla, Calif., and a brother, Harry J. Tackaberry Jr. of Perryville.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
