Marie R. Smith, 88, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1993, at Cape LaCroix Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 19, 1905, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Robert and Lena Warner Schmittzehe.
She married Melvin Smith, May 15, 1948, at Osceala, Ark. He died Nov. 6, 1976.
Smith was a homemaker.
She attended Old St.Vincent Academy in Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of the St. Marys Cathedral, the West Side Senior Citizens, the Cathedral Ladies group and the DAughters of Isabella.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Hallis Smith.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Daughters of Isabella services will be at 6:30 p.m. today, followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Marys Cathedral.
Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
