PATTON -- Marie Mayfield, 91, of Patton died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 1996, at her home.
She was born May 11, 1905, in Mayfield, the daughter of George H. and Minta Eaker Mayfield. On Sept. 7, 1922, she married Homer Mayfield, who died Feb. 3, 1980.
Mayfield was an active member of the Little Whitewater Baptist Church for many years.
Survivors include three sons, Gerald Mayfield of Sedgewickville, Jerry Mayfield of Patton and Donald H. Mayfield of Jackson; one daughter, Verda Mae Angle of Jackson; one brother, the Rev. Edward Mayfield of Mont Eagle, Tenn.; one sister, Mildred Bollinger of Jackson; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, one brother, one sister and one granddaughter.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the Little Whitewater Baptist Church.
Service will be at the church at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Randy Miller and the Rev. Steven Mathes officiating. Burial will be in Pulliam Cemetery.
