JACKSON -- Funeral service for Marie L. Kasten of Jackson will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call at the McCombs Funeral Home today from 4 to 8 p.m.
Kasten, 72, died Monday, April 17, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 17, 1922, in Jackson, daughter of Albert and Louise Kuntze Voges. She married Harold C. Kasten Jan. 11, 1942. He died Dec. 27, 1982.
The Kastens owned and operated Harold C. Kasten Building Center. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Church and active in its Concordia Guild.
Survivors include three daughters, Karen Carter of Arlington, Texas, Jane Wille of Whitewater and Rita Leimer of Jackson; a brother, Leonard Voges of Winter Park, Fla.; a sister, Lowanda Gorton of Jackson; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and a great-stepgranddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
