MARIE J. HENNING

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Marie J. Humphrey Henning, formerly of Mounds, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 1994, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born Jan. 1, 1906, in Piedmont, Mo., daughter of William and Florence Sweet McAllister. She married Orba L. Humphrey, who died in 1954. She later married Arthur J. Henning, who died in 1974.

Henning was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Villa Ridge.

Survivors include a daughter, Nelda Axley of Pekin; five sons, Charles Humphrey of Paducah, Ky., Don Humphrey of Columbia, Mo., Carl Humphrey of Burkittsville, Md., Bob Humphrey of Homewood, Ill., Orba Humphrey of Lafayette, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Estelle Glen of Mounds; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds from 4-8 p.m. today. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds.
