Marie Heischmidt

Marie Margaret Heischmidt, 90, of Paris, Ill., died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 17, 1918, in Fayette County, Ill., daughter of Jacob Andrew and Caroline Mary Zacha Roedl. Marie and Albert Henry Heischmidt were married Feb. 10, 1945, in Edgewood, Ill. He died Nov. 5, 1986.

Survivors include two sons, Keith (Sophia) Heischmidt of Bristow, Va., Kenneth (Cynthia) Heischmidt of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Christina Heischmidt of Bristow, Brooke, Brett and Kurt Heischmidt of Cape Girardeau; and many nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, parents and five brothers, Glen, Mearl, Pearl, Martin and Leon (Pat) Roedl.

Recitation of the rosary will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, followed by visitation until 5 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Saint Mary's in Paris, with the Rev. David Zimmerman officiating. Graveside committal service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at St. Clare Catholic Cemetery in Altamont, Ill.
