PERRYVILLE -- Marie B. Geringer, 79, of Perryville died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, at Perry County Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 20, 1918, at Perryville, the daughter of Ruben and Mary Panier Gibbar.
She and Joe Geringer were married Aug. 17, 1940. He died Dec. 20, 1990.
She was a homemaker, and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
Survivors included two daughters, Virginia Hunt of Festus and Mary Ann Hoffman of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Roger Geringer of Poplar Bluff and Bob Geringer of Perryville; five sisters, Vallie Gibbar of Festus, Ella Mae Chambers and Ruby Schweppe of St. Louis, Iva Ponder of Perryville and Alleen Garrison of Wisconsin; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, her parents, one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and 6:30 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, with a parish wake at 7 p.m. today.
Funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Rich Lause officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
