Marie Elizabeth Smith, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born May 28, 1910, in St. Louis, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Gelven Meier. On Aug. 2, 1929, she married Louis J. Smith in Jackson, who preceded her in death Jan. 4, 1985.
She was a housewife and a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and the Cathedral Ladies in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a son, Robert B. Smith of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Elaine M. Brame of Drury; a sister, Delphine Theisman of Florissant; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, where parish prayers will be said at 7 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus Rosary will be at 7:30.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Msr. Richard Rolwing will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
