SCOTT CITY -- Marie Celeste Eikstetter, 84, of Scott City died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 1, 1914, in Naicam, Saskatchewan, Canada, daughter of Sam and Letha Mary Freschett LaMonte. She and Martin F. Eikstetter were married Oct. 9, 1951, in West Point, Ill...

SCOTT CITY -- Marie Celeste Eikstetter, 84, of Scott City died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 1, 1914, in Naicam, Saskatchewan, Canada, daughter of Sam and Letha Mary Freschett LaMonte. She and Martin F. Eikstetter were married Oct. 9, 1951, in West Point, Ill.

Eikstetter was a self-employed dairy farmer. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 6.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Pat Wissman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
