SIKESTON -- Marie Chaney, 70, of Sikeston died Friday, Nov. 15, 1991, at her home.
She was born March 14, 1921, in Huntington, Tenn., the daughter of the late Martin Luther and Lela Elaine Allen Seagraves.
On June 27, 1942, in New Madrid she married Bill L. Chaney, who survives of the home.
She was a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Miner Nursing Center, and she formerly worked for 17 years at the Missouri Delta Community Hospital in Sikeston. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Morehouse.
Other survivors include a daughter, Helen Lewis of St. Louis; two brothers, Bernie L. Seagraves and L.D. Seagraves, both of Sikeston; two sisters, Edith Brown of St. Louis and Leota Lee of Pensacola, Fla; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
She also was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Nathaniel Lewis will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
