Marie A. Best, 84, of Jackson died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 4, 1920, at Laflin, Mo., daughter of George F. and Anna Arns Radin. She and Wilbert Best were married Oct. 2, 1940.
Best retired as a cook with Jackson School District in 1982. She was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ and was active in Lydia Kies Circle.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Wilma Edmonds of Hendersonville, Tenn., Norma Thieret of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; six brothers, Henry Radin of Campbell, Mo., George Radin of Festus, Mo., Joe Radin of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Eugene Radin of Sebastopol, Calif., Martin Radin of DeSoto, Mo., Milford Radin of Hamilton, Ohio; two sisters, Dorothy Lampe of Benton, Mo., Martha Perry of Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday from noon until time of service at Emanuel United Church of Christ.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery near Cape Girardeau.
