Marian Pauline Mitchell passed peacefully from this earthly life Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. Ms. Mitchell was born in Ellinwood, Kan., March 22, 1919, daughter of Peter William and Alice Thomas Kimpler. She was raised in Sandoval, Ill., and lived most of her life in Harrisburg, Ill., and Ocala, Fla. She had resided at the Lutheran Home the past three years...

Marian Pauline Mitchell passed peacefully from this earthly life Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Ms. Mitchell was born in Ellinwood, Kan., March 22, 1919, daughter of Peter William and Alice Thomas Kimpler.

She was raised in Sandoval, Ill., and lived most of her life in Harrisburg, Ill., and Ocala, Fla. She had resided at the Lutheran Home the past three years.

Her husband, Anthony Mitchell, passed on in 2001.

Ms. Mitchell was a graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Peoria, Ill., and enjoyed a career as a nurse anesthetist. Her favorite recreation was golf.

She is survived by a brother, William Kimpler of Granite City, Ill.; three sisters, Anita Stasik of Merritt Island, Fla., Mary Jane Lemmon of LaJolla, Calif., Patricia Zimmer of Cape Girardeau; and 14 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Barnet of Chicago.

Burial will be in Sandoval.

A memorial mass will be scheduled at St. Vincent de Paul Church at a later date.

Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
