ESSEX -- Margie Hopkins, 67, of Essex died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at her home.
She was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Moon, Okla., daughter of Thomas and Mary Sanders Alford. She and Bob Hopkins were married July 30, 1946. He died Sept. 2, 1989.
Survivors include five sons, Charles Hopkins of St. Louis, Dennis and Carl Hopkins of Dexter, Jerry Hopkins of Essex, Bobby Hopkins of Phoenix, Ariz.; six daughters, Mary Conner of Osceola, Ark., Darlene Case, Jelane Hickson and Marilyn Bratcher of Essex, Sheila Garvey of Alton, Ill., and Sherry Branum of Dexter.
Also surviving are two brothers, Thomas Alford of Morehouse, Marion Alford of Cleveland, Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Smith of St. Louis, Olmae Hutcherson of Russellville, Ark.; 23 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. W.H. Worth will officiate. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
