Margie Lucille Fowler, 91, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Aug. 7, 1926, in Whitewater to A.A. and Beulah Hosea Williams. She and Thomas W. Fowler were married Oct. 9, 1945 in Jackson. She was a graduate of Delta Public School and worked over 34 years at the Cape Girardeau Surgical Center...

Margie Lucille Fowler, 91, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Aug. 7, 1926, in Whitewater to A.A. and Beulah Hosea Williams. She and Thomas W. Fowler were married Oct. 9, 1945 in Jackson.

She was a graduate of Delta Public School and worked over 34 years at the Cape Girardeau Surgical Center.

She was a volunteer at the Women's Safe House in Cape Girardeau and received an award in 2014 for her many hours of service. She was a very giving person and was always helping her friends and family.

Survivors include one son, Jerry (Susan) Fowler of Festus, Missouri; one sister, Betty (Dean) Wills of Cape Girardeau; and one grandchild, Rachel Mae Fowler of San Diego.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Billy Williams.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Women's Safe House in Cape Girardeau.
