Margaret W. Spradling of 225 Keller Ave., Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, November 19, 1998, at her home. She was 78.
She was born April 24, 1920 in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of Robert H. Whyman and Edith Whyman. She married Albert M. Spradling, Jr. on July 9, 1943, in Tyler, Texas. He survives along with two sons, Albert M. Spradling, III, of Cape Girardeau, and the Reverend Robert W. Spradling of Lee's Summit, Missouri. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
Mrs. Spradling was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the Los Angeles Field Division. She met her husband there and after being transferred to San Francisco, California, she worked at Troop Movement and Supply during World War II.Mrs. Spradling was a member of P.E.O. Chapter BI. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 1998 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel with the Reverend Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
