Margaret Marie Sides, 69, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at her home.

She was born July 10, 1948, near Perryville, Missouri, daughter of Hubert H. and Ruby J. Horn Clayton. She and Mike E. Sides were married Oct. 16, 1966, in Millersville.

Margaret was a 1966 graduate of Jackson High School.

She joined Mike for a time while he was stationed in San Jose, California. After returning to Jackson, she was employed at the Jackson International Shoe factory; Jackson Manor Nursing Home; the Golden Corral and, for a number of years, Country Mart deli in Jackson before her health declined.

Margaret was a member of the Red Hat Society in Jackson and was of the Methodist faith.

Loving survivors include her husband of 51 years, Mike Sides; two children, Sherri (Keith) Mayfield and Chad (Kim) Sides of Jackson; three grandchildren, Blake and Cody Mayfield and Ashley Newell; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Neilson of Illinois and Barbara Michelson of Millersville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Clayton.

The visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

The family suggests contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
