Margaret A. Shell, 74, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, May 23, 2014, at Fountain-bleau Lodge.
She was born Jan. 25, 1940, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Elmer and Juanita Morris McCormick. She and Edward Shell were married Dec. 28, 1958, in Cape Girardeau.
Margaret had been a cook at schools in the area.
Loving survivors include her husband, Edward; a daughter, Laura Taber and husband Jack of Cape Girardeau; a son, B.J. Shell and wife Amy of Bluffton, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Dean Best, Jessica Kinder and husband Cody, Blake Best and wife Shealee, Owen and Lucy Shell; three great-grandchildren, Alisa and Kinslee Kinder and Landen Best; and two sisters, Doris Dawson and Judy Criddle of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lisa Poston in 2004; a grandson, Leland Gorman; and two brothers, James and Walter McCormick.
There is no service.
McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
