MINER, Mo. -- Funeral for Margaret Free Self of Miner will be held at 1 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo. The Rev. Bob Burnes and Cline Ables will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

McMikle Funeral Home at Charleston is in charge of arrangements.

Self, 70, died Sunday, July 8, 2001, at Miner Nursing Center.

She was born July 2, 1931, in Mississippi County, daughter of Charles Watson and Katie Katherine Mizer Self.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Griggs of Charleston; two brothers, Herbert and David "Buddy" Self of Wyatt, Mo.; a sister, Grace Malone of Evansville, Ill.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
