Margaret Lucille Melvin, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Cape Girardeau to Coy Jacob and Ethel Bell Rogers Lincoln. She and Joseph Melvin were married Aug. 15, 1980, at Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her two daughters, Madonna West of Cape Girardeau and Charlotte Corey of Pocahontas; a son, Jack Welker of Neelys Landing; eight grandchildren, Angela Alcorn, Brandi Kyle, Cherish West, Danea Johnson, Michael Perry, Nikki Kyle, Rachel Welker and Tony Welker; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant daughter, Therese Jane.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gina Rae Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
