Margaret Ellen Lough, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 1, 1924, in Charleston, Missouri, to Roger Q. and Cordova Walker Brown Sr. She and Charles M. Lough were married Nov. 21, 1945, in Charleston. He preceded her in death Jan. 26, 2012.
The Loughs lived most of their married life in Charleston. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Commerce, Missouri. She enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren, and one of her great pleasures was cooking for her family.
Survivors include two sons, Steve (Donna) Lough of Marble Hill, Missouri, and Gregory (Ellen Cornelius) Lough of Houston; a daughter, Luanne (Ed) Kiefner of Patton, Missouri; two brothers, Herbert W. Brown of Houston and Robert A. Brown of Seattle; five grandchildren, Melissa Lough of Sikeston, Missouri, Barry (Sharon) Urhahn of Benton, Missouri, Leigh Vosseller of San Diego, Michael (Rhonda) Lough of Oak Ridge and Jennifer (Jon) Fridgen of Tolono, Illinois; nine great-grandchildren, Madeline and Grace Urhahn of Benton, Mikayla and Hayden Vosseller of San Diego, Madison Lough and Brook LeGrand and daughter Cambree of Oak Ridge and Hannah, Grayson and Lillian Fridgen of Tolono.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Roger Q. Brown Jr.
The funeral was held Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce at a later date.
