TAMMS, Ill. -- Margaret Elizabeth Brown, 87, of Tamms died Saturday, Nov. 19, 1994, at the Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardau.

She was born Oct. 7, 1907, in Alexander County, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Pryor Ray. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tamms. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh H. Brown, on May 31, 1969. She also was preceded in death by three brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Dillow of Tamms and Ina Mae Rice of Barlow, Ky.; two sons, Charles "Sonny" Brown of Mounds and Dallas Ray Brown of Farmington, Mo.; a brother, Oliver Ray of Tamms; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great, great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Verlee Eaker will officiate, and burial will follow in Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds.
