Margaret E. Davis, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 9, 1995, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 6, 1916, to Jerry and Ada Baker Farmer in Charleston. She married Clayton W. Davis on Sept. 17, 1944, in Cape Girardeau. He died July 17, 1991...

Margaret E. Davis, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 9, 1995, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 6, 1916, to Jerry and Ada Baker Farmer in Charleston.

She married Clayton W. Davis on Sept. 17, 1944, in Cape Girardeau. He died July 17, 1991.

Survivors include two daughters, Becky Andrews and Jane Sinn, both of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Everett Farmer of Kennett; a sister, Hannah Todt of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a grandson.

Davis retired in 1972 as the school cafeteria manager for Schultz School.

She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and the Dawson-McAlister Circle at the church.

Friends may call the Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel today from 5 to 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be at the funeral chapel Monday at 11 a.m., with Dr. Neil Stein officiating.

Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park.
