SIKESTON, Mo. -- Margaret Nell Cox, 51, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, at the Cancer Research Center in Zion, Ill.
She was born May 15, 1953, in Sikeston, daughter of Johnny and Shirley Baker Whitaker. She and James Lee Cox were married Feb. 23, 1989.
Cox was a human research developer for Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corp. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Darrell and Terrance Little of Pontiac, Mich., Courtney Little of Sikeston; her mother, Shirley McClellan of Sikeston; a stepson, Kenny King of Columbia, Mo.; three stepdaughters, Felecia Howard of Sikeston, Jennifer Cox of Jefferson City, Mo., and Jessica Cox of Columbia.
Also surviving are seven brothers, Henry and Sherman Baker of Chicago, Michael, Marvin, Ivan and Cortez Baker and Stafford McClellan, all of Sikeston; three sisters, Wanda and Sherra Baker of Sikeston, Joyce Marshall of California; and 14 grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Steven Fields officiating.
