MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Margaret L. Brushwood, 73, of Marble Hill died Friday, April 27, 2001 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 4, 1927, at Matthews, Mo., daughter of Author Lancaster and Nellie Followell Lancaster.
She and William Brushwood were married in June 1963 in Tennessee. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Morley, Mo. She had lived at Elder Care Residence in Marble Hill three years.
Survivors include a son, Roger Vaughn, of Illinois; four daughters, Greta Martin of Bloomfield, Mo., Janett Becker of Glen Allen, Mo., Margaret Johnson of Chillicothe, Mo., and Sharan King of St. Louis, three sisters, Wanda Harvey and Glenda Griffin, both of Wapappello, Mo., and Irene Mayfield of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Morris Cobb officiating. Burial will be in Sedgewickville Baptist Church Cemetery.
