MARBLE HILL -- Manford "Bub" Darby, 60, of Marble Hill died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, in Asheville, N.C., after an apparent heart attack.
He was born July 16, 1937, at Delta, the son of Lon and Ruby Fox Darby.
He was a professional truck drive for Able Trucking Co., and was of the General Baptist faith.
He married Agnes Wilferd on Jan. 3, 1959, at East St. Louis, Ill.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; his mother of Marble Hill; a son, David Darby of Jackson; three daughters, Sheila Darby of Marble Hill, Sharon James of Simpson, Ill., and Shannon Storz of Jackson; two brothers, Gary Darby of Hillsboro and Bob Darby of St. Louis; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Gerald Huff and Bill Jetton officiating. Burial will be in the Crader Cemetery near Marble Hill.
