Mamie Rexer

ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Mamie Rexer of Anna will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Sidney Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Waltersburg Methodist Cemetery in Pope County.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. Monday.

Rexer, 94, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 26, 1907, daughter of J.W. and Anna Walter Rexer.

Rexer taught school 33 years in Golconda, Vienna and Anna-Jonesboro in Illinois. She was a member of Anna United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Be Squares Sunday School Class; St. John's Home Extension; A-J Women's Club; and Union, Pulaski, Alexander Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include two nieces, Jean Fitzgerald of Fort Worth, Texas, Betty French of San Antonio, Texas; and a nephew, Robert Rexer of San Diego, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
