GOREVILLE, Ill. -- Mamie Aldridge, 77, of Goreville died Thursday, Jan. 15, 1998, at Fountains Nursing Home in Marion.
She was born Dec. 31, 1920, in Jonesboro, daughter of Richard Albert and Florence Dennison Rector.
Aldridge was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Cobden.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Holderfield of Herrin, Charlotte Gibbs of Cambria; three sons, Albert Young of Anna, Carl Young of Goreville, Claude Stroud of Cobden; a brother, Arnold Rector of Anna; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Kenneth Mixen and Bobby Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
