SIKESTON, Mo. -- Magnolia Davis, 90, of Sikeston died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Sept. 4, 1913, in Oxford, Miss., the daughter of John W. and Rosie Lee Webb Simmons. She first married Percy Jenkins. He preceded her in death. She then married Melvin Davis Sr. He also preceded her in death...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Magnolia Davis, 90, of Sikeston died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Sept. 4, 1913, in Oxford, Miss., the daughter of John W. and Rosie Lee Webb Simmons. She first married Percy Jenkins. He preceded her in death. She then married Melvin Davis Sr. He also preceded her in death.

She was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Canalou.

She is survived by a son, Melvin L. Davis Jr. of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Oralee Jones and Marilyn Trotter, both of Chicago, Ill.; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Moses Grayson officiating.

Burial will be at Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
