CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Maggie Ann Dodd, 97, of Chaffee died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born June 15, 1908, at London, Ark., daughter of John Thomas and Loe Amy Freeman Cochran.
She and Joe Pleasant Hampton Burton were married in 1926; he died in 1946. She and Cleveland Dodd were married Oct. 9, 1948; he died April 11, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin Burton of Chaffee, Gene Dodd of Morley, Mo.; a daughter, Mamie Cowger of Sikeston; a brother, Earley Cochran of Jackson; a sister, Ruby Nelson of Sikeston; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, a daughter, a stepson, three brothers, four sisters, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vyron Yount officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
