Mae Adelie Miller, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born May 26, 1915, at Egypt Mills, daughter of Edward H. and Laura L. Froemsdorf Hanebrink. She and Dallas O. Miller were married Sept. 16, 1937, at Benton, Mo.

Mrs. Miller was a graduate of the former College High School and attended Normal School (Southeast Missouri State University). She was Cape Girardeau city collector for a number of years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and its Ladies Aid, Lutheran Women's Bowling League, and was active in Trinity Lutheran School PTA.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Thomas E. Miller and wife Joyce of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Clyde Hanebrink and wife Pauline of Cape Girardeau; a granddaughter, Kara J. Stockard and husband Dennis of Santa Rosa, Fla.; a grandson, Matthew T. Miller and wife Bridget of Cape Girardeau; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Hanebrink of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Lawrence Hanebrink.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Loren Boettcher officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery at Egypt Mills.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or School, Saxony Lutheran High School, or Alzheimer's Association.
