MAE HEFNER

ADVANCE -- Mae Hefner, 78, of Advance died Tuesday, June 20, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born April 3, 1917, at Lowndes, daughter of Luther and Katie Weithers Wallace.

She married Jesse Hill Sr. in 1937. He preceded her in death. She later married Carl Hefner Sr. in 1951. He also preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Advance United Methodist Church.

Survivors are three sons, Jesse Hill Jr. and John Hill, both of Advance, and Carl Hefner of Bell City; four daughters, Corrine Fischer and June Fischer, both of Lowndes, Lorrine Wallace of Advance and Bethel Cook of Sikeston; a sister, Clara Thurston of Cape Girardeau; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, two brothers, a grandson and a great-grandson.

Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel of Advance.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Lloyd Green officiating. Burial will be Cowan Cemetery near Marble Hill.
