MARION, Ill. -- Madeline King, 85, of Marion, formerly of Thebes, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 1997, at her daughter's home in Marion. She was born May 2, 1912, in Mill Creek, daughter of Elmer H. and Orpha Davault Corzine. She married Russell Morrill, who died in 1992. She was married to William Earl King who died in 1967...

MARION, Ill. -- Madeline King, 85, of Marion, formerly of Thebes, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 1997, at her daughter's home in Marion.

She was born May 2, 1912, in Mill Creek, daughter of Elmer H. and Orpha Davault Corzine. She married Russell Morrill, who died in 1992. She was married to William Earl King who died in 1967.

She was a member of the Olive Branch United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Christina Simons of Marion; a son, Elmer Russell "Joe" Morrill of Roxanna; two sisters, Eva Shaver of Roxana and Louanna Shaver of Greenville; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a half sister.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Weiss officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
