Charles "Mack" Baker, 55, of Jackson passed away Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at the Jefferson Barracks VA Hospice Facility in St. Louis after a long battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 23, 1955, in Jackson, son of John R. and Doris Peel Baker.
He was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mack was a member of the Crossroads Fellowship Church in Jackson. He worked in construction in the area for many years.
He is survived by a daughter, Jessica Hinmann; three grandchildren; his stepfather, Max Amos; three brothers, Mike (Joyce) Baker, Mark Baker, Mitchell (Terry) Baker, all of Jackson; a sister, Marsha (Gordon) Bisher of St. Louis; a stepbrother, John (Renee) Amos of Jackson; and a stepsister, Susann Amos of Jackson.
His mother, Doris, passed away Dec. 30, 2010. His father, John, preceded him in death.
A celebration of Mack's life will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 7 at Crossroads Fellowship Church in Jackson.
