MALDEN -- Funeral for Mable Thompson of Malden will be held at 1 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Vernon Reese will officiate, with burial in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
Thompson, 65, died Friday, June 19, 1998, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
She was born Sept. 25, 1932, at Parma, daughter of John and Clara Glass Crump.
Formerly of Parma, Thompson had lived at Malden since 1965. She was retired from Brown Shoe Co. in Bernie, where she worked 30 years.
Survivors include four sons, Kelly and Mike Slavings of Malden, Earl Slavings of Denver, Colo., Joe Slavings of Ruther Glen, Va.; two daughters, Darlene Slavings of Malden, Angela Smiley of Bernie; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, and two brothers.
