JACKSON -- Mabel O. Miller, 83, of Jackson, died Wednesday, June 26, 1996, at Deal Nursing Home.

She was born May 16, 1913, at Millersville, daughter of Ora and Myrtle Huff Stearns. She and Winfred E. Miller were married Feb. 3, 1936. He died Dec. 1, 1992.

Miller was a member of Millersville United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, Millersville Homemakers, American Legion Auxiliary to Post 158, and Missouri Rural Letter Carriers Association Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Rodney Miller of Millersville; a daughter, Greta Myers of Willow Springs; two sisters, Mildred Miller of Millersville, Muriel Bone of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a sister and brother.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
