MABEL B. DOUBLIN

PUXICO -- Funeral service for Mabel B. Doublin of Puxico will be held at 10 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico. The Rev. Ray Placher will officiate, with burial in Fagan Cemetery near here.

Friends may call after 9 a.m.

Doublin, 94, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 1995, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

She was born Dec. 11, 1900, at Leora, daughter of Wilbur and Laura Shaw Travers. She married Bedford D. Doublin Oct. 26, 1921. He died Jan. 7, 1967.

Doublin lived in the Kinder and Puxico area all her life. She was a member of Kinder General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Lee Doublin of Sunrise Beach, Jack Doublin of Puxico; a daughter, Wanda Cooper of St. Louis; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
