SIKESTON -- Lynn C. Kirkeiner of Sikeston, 57, formerly of Centerville, Ohio, and Lanexa, Va., died Friday, Dec. 5, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 21, 1940, in Gary, Ind., daughter of Jay M. and Marilynn C. Brunsdon Steinmetz.

She married William H. Kirkeiner on Aug. 22, 1958, at Hammond, Ind. He survives.

She was a 1948 graduate of Hammond High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She worked for three years for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in Virginia. She was a homemaker and member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Cape Girardeau and the Mother Church of Christ Scientist in Boston. She taught Sunday School and was a reader at the church in Cape Girardeau.

She is survived by her mother of Hammond; two sons, Paul W. Kirkeiner of Fishers, Ind., and Kristin J. Kirkeiner of Cincinnati; two daughters, Kimberley Ann McCullough and Kara Lynn Kirkeiner, both of Cincinnati; a sister, Ina Kleckner of Evanston, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and her father.

Visitation is at 1 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Funeral service is at 4 today at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Jim Davis officiating. Cremation will follow, with interment at a later date in Ohio.
