JACKSON -- Lyman Cook, 88, of Jackson died Friday, June 27, 1997, at the Heartland Care and Rehabilitation Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 30, 1908, in Mayfield, son of Benny and Eva Cook He married Eula James on Aug. 24, 1930, and she survives him.

He was a farmer and had worked at the former Raines Stave Mill in Jackson, the Delbert Green Sawmill, Jackson Handle Factory and retired in 1965 from the former Bishop Poultry Plant in Perryville.

He is survived by a son, Ardell Cook of Cabool; two daughters, Bonnie Felker of Kennett and Geraldine Stepp of Marble Hill; 22 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, six brothers, four sisters, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Rick Parris officiating. Burial will be in Pulliam Cemetery near Whitewater.
