Luther Sparks

Luther Eugene Sparks, 71, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born Jan. 29, 1951, in St. Louis to Leo Harden and Lena Bell Dewrock Sparks.

He and Anna Sparks were married in Cape Girardeau on March 22, 1969.

Luther worked as a carpenter.

Survivors include the love of his life, Anna; daughter, Christina Jordan of Cape Girardeau; two granddaughters, Caylin (Samantha Barrett) Jordan of Jackson and Livi Jordan of Cape Girardeau; grandson, Dennis (Gabby) Jordan of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; and great-grandchild, Isabella Jordan.

Luther was preceded in death by his father, Leo Harden Sparks; mother, Lena Bell Sparks; two daughters, Lorey Sparks and Angel Sparks; and two brothers.

Graveside service will be at a later date at the Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given for family use.

Ford and Liley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
