JACKSON -- Luther Green, 93, of Jackson, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1992, at Deal Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 2, 1898, at Millersville, son of Andrew and Kate Hosea Green. He and Pearl Borneman were married Aug. 22, 1919. She died Nov. 10, 1959.
Green had lived in the Jackson area since 1949, moving from Cape Girardeau. He worked at International Shoe Co. there more than 40 years.
Survivors include two sons, J.W. Green of Cape Girardeau, Gene Green of Jackson; three daughters, Ann Eddleman of Cape Girardeau, Ella Crow of Jefferson City, Mary Oldham of Jackson; a sister, Ola Ates of Jackson; a half sister, Elizabeth Horrell of Jackson; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, brother and sister.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. E.D. Francis will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
