CHAFFEE -- Lurena Johnston, 95, died Sunday, May 17, 1992, at Cape LaCroix.

She was born Jan. 3, 1897, in Cumberland Mountain, Ala., daughter of Issac and Miranda Graham Johnson.

She had farmed and raised livestock near Chaffee and Oran, and was a member of House of Prayer at Chaffee.

Survivors include a son, Roy Johnston of Chaffee.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Funeral Chapel in Benton. The Rev. Jack Owens will officiate, with burial in Friend Cemetery at Oran.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
