Luona Jean Reimann, 79, of Jackson passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born May 9, 1943, in Port Clinton, Ohio, daughter of Luther Raymond and Onalee Short Fetterman. She and Ivan Reimann were married Aug. 26, 1962, at Fort McPherson in Atlanta.

Luona was a 1961 graduate of Salem Oak Harbor High School in Ohio. After graduating high school, Luona enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as a cook. She met the love of her life, Ivan, who was also serving at Fort McPherson. Upon receiving her honorable discharge, she and Ivan moved back to Jackson. In 1965, they moved to the Reimann family farm near Oriole, where they raised their three daughters. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and puzzles. Luona was a woman of great faith and was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

Loving survivors include her husband, Ivan Reimann; three daughters, Barb (Tony) Bailey of Marble Hill, Missouri, Cindy (Terry) Kuehn of Jackson and Pattie (Dave) McGaha of St. Simon Island, Georgia; six grandchildren, Sherry (Travis) Friga, Curt (Rebecca) Kuehn, Summer Hannah, Peyton (Dillon) Tankersley, Tori (Nick) Griesenauer and Jack MaGaha; and six great-grandchildren, Meredith, Nolan, Avery, McKinzey, Maverick and Morgan.

Also surviving is a brother, Lenny Fetterman of Oregon, Ohio.

Luona was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Jeannie May Reimann; a grandson, Aaron Bailey; and two brothers, Raymond and Randy Fetterman.

The visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Short officiating. Interment with full military honors will be at 1 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

The family suggests contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
