DEXTER -- Lula Woods, 88, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at the Beverly Health Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 3, 1911, in Bell City, daughter of John and Rhoda Lewis Pemberton. She married Zannie Woods at Weona, Ark., on Sept. 9, 1929. He died Dec. 13, 1986.
She lived in Clarkton until moving to Dexter in 1965.
She is survived by a son, Bob Woods of Dexter; a daughter, Betty Hall of Midland, Texas; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Chuck Clark of Bloomfield officiating.
Burial will be at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
