ANNA, Ill. -- Lula Mae Griffin Dickerson, 66, of Anna died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at her home.
She was born March 13, 1939, in Union County, daughter of Bert and Nora Getting Hill. She first married Golburn Griffin and later married James Dickerson. Both preceded her in death.
Dickerson was a member of First Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Ill.
Survivors include two daughters, Lou Musgraves of Anna and Tammy Bracken of Dongola, Ill.; six sons, George and Harold Griffin of Anna, Jessie Griffin of Ullin, Ill., Terry and Jimmy Griffin of Wolf Lake, Ill., Lee Dickerson of Cypress, Ill.
Also surviving are five sisters, Katherine Turner, Esther Willcutt of Anna, Lilly Smith of Marion, Ill., Estel Smith of St. Louis, Betty Upston of Mississippi; two brothers, Charles Hill of Sesser, Ill., William Smith of Anna; 27 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson and two brothers.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Joe Aldridge officiating. Burial will be in Sims Cemetery.
