PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lucy I. Hawkes, 94, of Perryville died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Independence Care Center in Perryville.

She was born Jan. 17, 1915, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of William and Louise L'Hote Manche. She was married to Andrew B. Hawkes, who was retired from the Air Force. He precedes her in death.

She was a stenographer for the U.S. government. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno, Mo.

Survivors are several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by parents, husband, one brother and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m, Monday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville, with parish prayers at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno, with the Rev. Bill Rhinehart officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
